Coming out of the hiding

Hello , are you still there It has been AGES and so many of you had been asking offline when will I get back here again, well guess what we are back and I could not be more excited. So many things have changed over the past few years, there has been a major shift on most of our favourite bloggers moving to the youtube world because no millennial has got time to read all that that stuff (lol) but it is all good, technology is constantly evolving and you either have to jump into the bandwagon or you get left far behind. My passion for writing and photography got me back here even after trying to run away from it - literally ( zimwi likujualo ... a famous Swahili saying) A lot has been happening in my world,  ADULTING has happened the most, internships, a full time job, being jobless, cutting my afro :( etc etc There are various good lessons that I learned over the two years and I would  love to share with you guys: Each one of us has their

hey guys, I hope you've all kick started your  2016 with so much energy and positive vibes, you've got your new year resolutions jotted down etc etc. Well, I have to admit that I am a sucker for new year resolutions, and what can I say, i always have at least half of my list done towards the end of the year or even better, three quarters, and that's a good thing right? I mean a little  something is better than nothing. So I'm basically that ''new year new me'' type . The funny thing is that,I haven't written my new year goals yet, but I will do so before January ends. I think the reason behind all this ''lateness'' is due to the fact that I know exactly what I want this year, actually I have been planning since the previous year so jotting them down will not be that much of a task. Today, I just wanted to share a few photos of my beautiful niece, Michaella that I took with my iPhone 4S last year. I know it's about tim

2015

I have no idea where to start off really, the holiday season has passed too quickly and so did 2014. Last year was a good one for me because for  the first time I managed  to check off most of the things on my new year resolutions list. I have new ones for this year but I must admit that it has b been such a struggle to pull myself together to kick off this year (anyone else having the same struggle? Anyone?) I just have my new year resolutions listed down, just like a grocery  list so I will work on something from there. And to everybody else out there struggling to put down into writing what is it that they want to achieve in this new year just sit back and look for some inspiration that will help you do so. I think it is okay to fall back sometimes, and as for my case here, I have been and still trying to look for my purpose in life. I get off the track so many times but with the right inspiration I always get right back on my goals. With that I would like to wish you all a happy

December in the coast means heat, a lot of heat but the humid doesn't have a thing on the festive season. There's a lot of rain as well,I mean the heat is just as severe as the rain-bipolar weather. Well,Happy new month everyone! The long awaited holiday season is finally here and I must say that I am really excited for Christmas, isn't everyone? So I'm still hunting for a job but frankly, I haven't engaged fully in the hunt yet(will do so-pinky promise). I wanted to take a little break,a big break after school and just do nothing, and I mean nothing. My life right now revolves between sleeping, babysitting my beautiful niece- Stacey, home chores and a lot of TV and internet. And by internet I mean being on my phone mostly between tumblr, instagram, weheartit, pinterest and youtube . Last week I had to go run some errands in town and when I was done i just felt like going somewhere and cool off for a minute or two cos the heat in Dar is insane! For those of you who l

The lazy morning luck

Hey loves, It's my hope that y'all doing great. 2014 is almost coming to an end and if you can all agree with me,time really flies! I've been working on a post and sadly it's still on scratches hence the decision to post something else instead.  So recently I've been experiencing some internet breakdowns on my phone. I think the problem is with my network provider so my internet works best past midnight! ( how Cinderella'ish or maybe not??:D) My mom has caught me atleast twice on my phone, maybe as early as 5 am. But this is what happens,I sometimes fall asleep early and mess up my-after-midnight-internet schedule  just ended up in some major lectures on phones addictions- etc etc  So this last Thursday I woke up on that good side of the internet bed,lol and went straight to Instagram (i do this all the time and tumblr recently)  Ose is one of my favourite photographers  in Tanzania. I saw this post and got overly excit

Okay-Okay

Hi everyone!! I'm not going to the basic apologies of  " I'm  sorry for not having posted for sometime" cos it's been agess. In this case I'd just blame it on my final year at campus which comes with a lot to do my research project being one of them. But it's over now...done and done! Starting with my title for today's post okay a word which I got from this fiction novel that I finished reading over the last week end called The fault in our stars - #1 New York Times BestSeller  and currently a major motion picture from 20th Century Fox.   The word was used by this young teenage couple when ending their conversations. I do use this word quite a lot sometimes when not in the mood to write or express my feelings. And I know my dad uses the ok word a lot I times since he's not a texting person. There is this one Christmas when he wasn't with us because he had to travel for work. So I texted him (don't remember what ex
