Cake anyone?

Hi beautiful people!!
How are you all doing on this beautiful Sunday? It is a very sunny day in Nairobi but I understand that there are some places where it is raining right now.Well,March is coming to an end,it is about time I make that call home for my allowance,(school life)
Today I am going to share with you my cake safari!I had this crazy craving for a cake and I had to do something about it!
So I decided to visit The Thika Road Mall(TRM).It is the biggest mall in East Africa allocated along the Thika Highway. It was my first time there so I first walked around some shops and stores before reaching my destination,The Cake City.I fell in love with this place instantly, for a while I just stood there staring at the cakes!

The branch manager,Jackie is a very nice lady! She let me walk around and take photos of cakes and of course, stare at them if I had to!She told me a lot more about The Cake City. They make all types of cakes for different events, they also make pastries, coffee and milkshakes. They have other shops at Westlands and Sarit Centre, the Thika Road Mall branch is the latest. All these are in Nairobi.

Meet Jackie, the branch manager of Cake City,at Thika Road Mall! Here she is holding one of the cakes made by their shop.
Then it was time to eat the cake!!So I opted for a slice of passion cake,it comes with so much yumminess(does this word even exsist??). The cake was very soft and fresh!!Everything was in the right proportion and I enjoyed every single bite! The topping had fresh passion fruit seeds, everything was just perfecto!!

I would love to hear about your cake safari, please feel free to share with me your experience by leaving me a comment or you can send me the name of your favorite cake via my email adress,ettahjohn@gmail.com.And if you haven't,please do so,it is really fun!Just go out there and eat that cake and I promise that you will be happy, because food is joy!
Do not take excess sugaries though, our health is important!
Enjoy your Sunday!xo

Okay-Okay

Hi everyone!! I'm not going to the basic apologies of  " I'm  sorry for not having posted for sometime" cos it's been agess. In this case I'd just blame it on my final year at campus which comes with a lot to do my research project being one of them. But it's over now...done and done! Starting with my title for today's post okay a word which I got from this fiction novel that I finished reading over the last week end called The fault in our stars - #1 New York Times BestSeller  and currently a major motion picture from 20th Century Fox.   The word was used by this young teenage couple when ending their conversations. I do use this word quite a lot sometimes when not in the mood to write or express my feelings. And I know my dad uses the ok word a lot I times since he's not a texting person. There is this one Christmas when he wasn't with us because he had to travel for work. So I texted him (don't remember what ex...

Coming out of the hiding

Hello , are you still there It has been AGES and so many of you had been asking offline when will I get back here again, well guess what we are back and I could not be more excited. So many things have changed over the past few years, there has been a major shift on most of our favourite bloggers moving to the youtube world because no millennial has got time to read all that that stuff (lol) but it is all good, technology is constantly evolving and you either have to jump into the bandwagon or you get left far behind. My passion for writing and photography got me back here even after trying to run away from it - literally ( zimwi likujualo ... a famous Swahili saying) A lot has been happening in my world,  ADULTING has happened the most, internships, a full time job, being jobless, cutting my afro :( etc etc There are various good lessons that I learned over the two years and I would  love to share with you guys: Each one of us h...
